Tim and I have been married for 9 years this week (and we knew each other 9 years before that!)... I am looking forward to the next 9, I wonder what we will be doing :)
We did sneak a date in last weekend for ikea, dinner, and to go see this with some friends. It was good, I hope they finish the rest! I have big dreams for our 10th anniversary next year, maybe this? Hmmm, better start planning!

I have always considered myself a less-is-more sort of a girl - especially when it comes to decorating my home. Unless we are talking throw pillows, in that case I would probably fall under the more-the-merrier, wow-that-girls-needs-to-edit-down-her-pillows sort of category. I have a major weakness obsession for the fabrics and the trims and the ruffles and the layers and textures and I could go on and on. They are yummy.
Anyway, as you may remember from a while back (so long it's embarrassing) I was gathering up goodies to make a few pillows for the girls room. I am by no means a seamstress but thanks to all my moms help they are done and I finally have some pictures!

I am working on a window treatment for behind the bed, hopefully it will be done this week and I will have some pictures to show you!

Yesterday while Townsend and Province were at school and Ensley was napping, Merrill and I were hanging out together in quiet peacful house. I sat down to work on the copmuter for a bit and Merrill sat at the kids table next to me and drew up these two little cuties by herself:
When I was little my two best friends were imaginary people named Poomy and John, I haven't seen them in a long time, but I am pretty sure this is exactly what they looked like.
I am glad to know Merrill has seen them.
I have a serious weekness for childrens books. I can spend hours in the childrens section of Barnes and Noble. Among our very very favorite books are the Fancy Nancy books - my girls LOVE them, they are adorable, great stories, and beautiful illustrations. They are usually a first pick for bedtime books, I think Tim and I both have them almost memorized ;) Anywho, for Halloween this year we all dressed up as the Fancy Nancy family. Unfortunatly I didn't get any pics of the whole family, but here are the older girls looking adorable and dressed to the nines before their pre-school parade!

Little miss Ensley turned one last week. She LOVED her lemon cupcakes, and lit right up when she got her hands on her new little baby doll from aunt Tang... she laughed, and squealed, and kissed that little baby all night! She is pretty darn sweet, pretty darn spoiled, and pretty darn loud - all the things a one year old should be. We sure love her.
(still playing blog catch-up, but better late then never) Province on her first day of Pre-School this year. She loves school. Her teachers and amazing, and she goes with her 3 best little buddies, what more could a 4 year old ask for?
She is such a sweet girl, super helpful, and talks constantly :) she always has something to say, I honestly have never met anyone who could talk more (I know she doesn't get it from me!). She has a strange obsession with categorizing things boy or girl (mom is that a boy movie or a girl movie? Do boys or girls shop here? I want to read a different book, that one is for boys.) She loves to sit on the counter and help me cook, and loves to snuggle with her daddy & cheer for ASU during football games. She is a sweet one!
I am offically 30. {that is starting to sound old, i don't feel that old, i am not sure i like it.} To celebrate, my wonderful sister threw me a delightful party! Her hubby made the most delicious pulled pork, we had bbq sandwiches, all kinds of yummmy food, silly games, and wonderful friends there to share it with... It was my kind of night. I am so very ver grateful for my family and the best group of friends I could ever ask for :) I love you guys, thanks for celebrating with me! I am lucky.

The next night Tim and I went out on a date, we picked up a new one of these.
It is coming next week, I am super excited. *squeee*
{Just a few of the names this little ones is known by in our house.}
I am completely in love with this baby. I spend a large majority of my day inhaling her sweetness, squishing her as mush as possible, and resisting the urge to dust her in powder sugar and bite her little chub. I can not get enough.
I do not, however, understand how she is already 10mo old. Where does time go? She is already getting so big, she crawls all around, loves trucking around the house in her walker, eats anything in sight, squeals endlessly (thusly the nickname mandrake), and has two little teeth popping through her bottom gums. She loves her sisters and follows us all around the house eager to participate in whatever is going on, she is ready to be one of the big girls.
Unfortunately, I am not ready for her to be one of the big girls... I think it would be quite lovely if she would stay a baby forever... Oh how I love me some baby... if only they would stay that way.
This little man has taken some serious strides the last few months. It has been so exciting to watch him learn and figure things out, we have seen such growth and of course with that comes some serious growing pains for all of us, but it has so been worth it! First, he is starting to use words! He is getting very good at mimicking almost anything and with prompting is requesting things he wants! Among my favorite things he says are: "I want to go outside" "tickles" "popcorn" and "bye bye". It is like the sweetest sound in the whole world to hear his voice (it literally springs a smile and no matter how many other ways he likes to torture me, I hear that voice, melt, and can't stay upset with him). His other huge accomplishment for the summer was learning what the bathroom is for! He still has a long way to go before he is potty trained, but he is starting to figure things out and I am so proud of him!
So, here we are at 6:55 this morning, his first day of Kindergarten! The bus comes bright and early and he was happy as could be and ready to go. I have to admit, I have really been looking forward to this, but to be honest I am kinda a mess. I am not sure if I should sit in the corner and cry, or run around the house doing a happy dance. I know he will love it, and I am sure they will love him. So all is well...
