Halloween Festivities Begin

I love this time of year and all the fun activities we get to enjoy as a family!
A few pics from our first night of Halloween Festivities...

Welcome Baby Ensley!

8lbs 8oz & 20.5 inches

So happy Ensley has joined us. She is doing wonderfully, a baby that does all her jobs well- eats, sleeps, poops, and snuggles. I am in love. I have a constant overwhelming urge to bite her little squishy round face - I settle for nuzzling.

Christmas snapshots

1&2. Santa brought the kids a swing set this year, thank you Santa, and your friends elves, for working hard all night to get it set up!  3. "What is it dad? What did you get? We want to see" 4. Suckers as a stocking stuffer might not have been the brightest idea. Merrill tried to horde as many as she possible could before the other two ate them all. 5. Townsend and Tim gazing at a bright and shiny set of new cars. 6. Province enjoying some of the goodies in her stocking including sunglasses and a toothbrush and toothpaste (to off set the suckers). 7. Mom was genuinely surprised and delighted with her new ipod (complete with engraved Twilight quote of course) 8. Province actually sitting still with her new jessie doll long enough to let someone else open a gift without her "help". 9. Me making waffles in my jammies, a Christmas morning must!

I love Halloween decorations, do I have to take them down?

These two cute kids both had costume parades at school yesterday, so the costumes debuted a day early. If anyone can pull off Edward, I would say it is Townsend... isn't he handsome? And Province thought she was in heaven in her beautiful Cinderella dress. Merrill and I went to see Townsend's parade and Tim went to see Province. When he got there apparently she made sure to tell everyone she was his favorite LOL! They both came home with backpacks FULL of goodies... who needs trick or treating? Oh ya, me! :) Can't wait for tonight, little Merrill will get dressed up too, and I think I might talk Tim into wearing our costumes again as well. Should be quite a site!

Disneyland!

 

We spent last week enjoying 5 days at the happiest place on earth. Although I must say, I don't think Walt ever tried to take a family of very young kids, for 5 days, with no naps, when it is super hot and crowded! Regardless we had a great time and enjoyed the time spent with family. I love Disneyland in the fall with all the Halloween decorations, and the Haunted Mansion turned Nightmare Before Christmas, so much adorable eye candy! I forgot to take the cord for my camera, so I couldn't clear pictures off... such a bummer! Although between the 3 cameras that were going the whole time I am sure we got plenty of pictures! Those first two are of the kids playing around Paradise Pier in California Adventure, and I love this one of all the granddaughters waiting for the princess show! Look at all those cute girls (doesn't Province look thrilled?)!

 

It's always good to get home after a crazy vacation and get back into our beloved routine! I am busy busy the next few weeks getting ready for Blissfest, and the annual wright decrow haloween party! Fun stuff... whoohoo!

plus a couch (and floor) full of good friends equals a really great Friday night. I am not much of a TV person. At all. But I do a love a good laugh and this does it for me. The next morning my mom asked "is it really THAT funny?" Apparently we kept her up all night laughing. Yes mom, it really is THAT funny. Good times.

Other weekend highlights included:
- Merrills first tooth! Her little tooth popped thru Saturday morning. I better enjoy that gummy smile (see below) before its gone...
- Watching this about 200 times. Whenever I am at the computer Province comes to sit on my lap and asks for "bop top?". I have to get video of her dancing to it. Hee-larious.
- ASU football game Saturday night, Tim went to the game and I got to go scrap with good friends.
- Sunday dinner with the Baxters. Love my family so nice to have them back :)

My latest page made with this beautiful new kit from Britt! How much do you love freshy baby toes? I just really want to bite them. What is the overwhelming urge to bite and squish little baby parts? Cheeks, toes, gummy smiles. I could eat them all.

A year ago today...

It was a year ago today that my sweet daddy passed away. It does not seem right that time could possibly have continued on with out him. But it has, and it does. Things are sure different without him around, and although I miss him, life is still good, full of wonderful happy things.  I feel so blessed to know that I will see him again, I will enjoy his happy face and a giant hug, he can call me bug, and I wont take him for granted. I am also so blessed to have such a wonderful mother and sisters... I truly love my family.
We had a good day. We went to the cemetery and dropped off flowers. Enjoyed dinner at our families favorite Mexican food restaurant. And for dessert in honor of Pach, a glass of cold milk and a hostess cherry pie. I even heard this song (always been a favorite) on the radio this morning, pretty much sums it all up (only I could find comfort about my dad in a hip hop song!). Until we meet again, in my heart is where I keep you friend. I miss you dad.

back, back to Cali Cali Cali!
Ours bags (and the rest of the house) are packed

and we are ready to go.

Back to the fabulous beach house for a week of rest and relaxation (well as much of that as one can do with three little ones!). Tim will be driving around the players as a volunteer at the U.S. Open, and I will be reading to my hearts content and laying on a beach. We are all very excited, yes even Merrill is beside herself with excitement for an excuse to wear her new two piece. Don't worry I will take plenty of pictures ;)

Hopefully I can blog while I am there, but if not... See ya in a week!
